eCoin is a small, coin-shaped neurostimulator (about the size of a nickel) implanted just under the skin near your ankle. It delivers mild electrical pulses to the posterior tibial nerve — a major nerve that shares connections with the nerves controlling bladder function.
By stimulating this nerve continuously, eCoin "retrains" the bladder and reduces the signals causing urgency, frequency, and urge incontinence. Unlike external PTNS devices requiring weekly office visits or InterStim requiring a surgical implant in the lower back, eCoin offers a minimally invasive middle-ground solution.
